Our process and approach in heavy timber
design and construction carefully implements post-and-beam
construction, or heavy timber trusses, facilitating an extraordinary sense of space within
such a building. Heavy Timber systems of glue laminated timbers,
parallams, or solid sawn timbers have a wide variety in framed structures
and truss systems. Prefabricated building systems
are available, and include shop drawings,
connection steel, and hardware for:- Residential Buildings, Out Buildings, Timber Roof Structures and
Light Commercial Buildings
In our structures not only do we design for various
wood members, but also for the connections. On a typical structure the design
of the connections may comprise half the work. Carefully engineered and detailed,
our connections will be admired and will be an enhancement to your decor.
Steel complements other materials such as wood, stone, tile and masonry. Much like a
beautiful cast iron woodstove with a brick or stone chimney set on top of a tiled
hearth, our connections may come in any color. Color is an inexpensive detail; and,
the connections may have an elegant look or perhaps a rustic look. The connections that
join various post and beams are carefully detailed and become part of the architecture,
pleasing to the eye.
